This Osmia Bee (Osmia taurus) is an Asian species that was accidentally released in the US along with Osmia cornifrons, which was intentionally introduced into the US in Adams County, PA by ARS scientist, Dr. Susan Batra and the local Johnny Miller as an alternative pollinator to the European Honey Bee.Photographed in Cedar Mountain, North Carolina.
