The Black River is part of an amazing, blackwater river system the coastal region of South Carolina. It is bordered by ancient cypress trees, covered in spanish moss and is also an important breeding habitat for swallowtail kites, which are making a comeback in South Carolina. The Black River is a popular fishing spot for locals.
